The soundstage completely fills my room
Customer Comments:
I have a GF A-534 and deCapo MM i's and they are a great match. I've paired it with a GF CD-427 and now (oh joy) have about 7 different types of tubes that I can start rolling. So advice and hearing from others is very, very welcome...!
I was actually going to *start* with the 300Bs but now I'll wait until I hear more from ford... then it will be my turn to contribute.
The sound BTW is simply fabulous. The soundstage completely fills my room and I'm frequently looking behind me because it sometimes sounds like that is where it is coming from!

I've always wanted to see what this single ended thing was
Customer Comments:
I just recently picked up a Grant Fidelity A-534 integrated with the 300B tubes and will post my impressions once my tubes arrive from the tubes store, going to try rolling the 12ax7s and the EL34s and the rectifier tube...I'll save the 300bs for the last mostly due to the cost of new tubes. In stock form I'm very pleased with the amp. I've always wanted to see what this single ended thing was all about so I picked up some Decapo speakers and thought I'd give it a whirl...I've never heard a 300 b setup before and I'm really quite impressed with the sound. Female vocals are just oh so sweet and the ambiance in the music is wonderful. Bass was my biggest concern and there is plenty of it and fairly well controlled as well. The music gets my toes tapping and that's what counts. I've had more exotic equipment in the past that I'm sure was more accurate in their musical reproduction (ARC, Modwright SIM, Totem) but I don't feel I've lost much if anything going to the Grant Fidelity gear and the decapo speakers...I'm particularly enjoying my analogue front end much more as I seem to be getting more out of my vinyl collection....

The A 534 in stock form...is a..."Best Buy"
Roll the coupling caps...and...it's... a "Best in Show"!
I rolled in a pair of Euro Oil .47uf...and a pair of .10uf...
This "puppy" knocked...off...my highly modded Canary's...which
featured $4,000...in genuine..."Western Electric Glass"...
had V-caps...installed...factory...(I now prefer the Euro's).

I am currently using an A- 534B, with 12AT7's for input tubes, (70% of the gain of a !2AX7), to more than
adequately drive a pair of 86db 4-way speakers!
