Bass Trap?

All rooms have floor, ceiling and walls which reflect sound in a very complex way and form standing waves. The standing waves will give audible nulls and peaks in the room and such nulls and peaks could cause very noticeable volume changes in different part of the room. Sometimes it even cause complete cancellation of sound at certain position of a room.

If you try just play a single low frequency signal in a room and walk around within the room, you will notice the various volumes while you walk. At some position, you will hear a nearly complete cancellation but by moving just a few inches, you will hear completely different volume.

Music is a combination of tones. If you want to hear the music without the room affecting what you hear, use Bass Traps to absorb the standing waves and turn it to miniscule amount of heat!

• Single - Locate centred between and behind the Speakers, can also improve imaging and sounstage.
• Two - one behind each speaker towards in the room corners, also effective at blocking corner reverberations.
• Three - Two R-200ST in each corner and one R-350ST by your seating position

• Five - Combination of Four and Single.
• Experiment using your ears to judge with placement.
