This pair of unique looking mini speakers are designed from the inspiration of "Budanath" - the famous Buddhism Temple in Tibetan culture. They are peaceful, tranquil, and reproduce sound as if they are from outside of this world.
Having a pair of them on your desk, along a cup of tasty coffee or tea, you can almost feel your mind being taken to the ultra world of Buddhism - no urges, no wantings, just beautiful and peaceful music to touch your soul in such a close distance.
This miniature speaker will remind you all the audiophile buzz words for high performance speakers - outstanding sound stage and imaging - the speakers completely disappear in music.
You can use them either at desktop workstation or in a medium sized room. Decent bass considering its small size (11" height x 5" square footprint) and single 2" full range speaker. It is also a perfect gift for your intimate friends - every girl will love it and love the music it brings out :)
For extra bass, we recommend you to use the S-1 "Budanath" with the Thunder-5 Mini subwoofer together.

When I first hooked these
When I first hooked these up I knew something special was happening, decent balanced sound, not much below 100Hz though, but it drew into the sound and music. Being basically nuts if you ask Rachel (and many others), I of course put them on our LS3/5a stands and hooked them up to Rita, being very careful on the volume.
These speakers are not there, there is nothing bay an amazing soundstage like nothing I have heard before. I expect some speaker designers who live for the 'image never moves, invisable speakers' type desing are going be weeping when they see and hear these.
Noel from Skylan Stands was over the next day, so I hooked up the entire 'Q-5 / Budanath / Thunder5 desktop system' and we played with it for quite a while, even to point of what if stands for the Q-5's.
I then had them set up in the ballroom of the Carriage House for our first show, with the speakers basically in the middle of the room about 5 ft apart. Upon turning it on about 15 visitors, stopped what they were doing and stood around, we all did 360 walks around the speakers, walking between them etc and it an amazing experience for all.
Rachel had to keep reminding me to go demonstrate the main system we had there !
SOme of you may have heard of blind tests in audio, well If you were to blindfold yourself you would walk into these speakers, they are that transparent.
They aren't going to go very loud or peel paint off the walls, but they sure are interesting and for what they are designed for, desktop type system, they are superb.
Cheers,
Ian
