The 5-step 5-spec Grant Fidelity QC procedure has helped us to establish Shuguang Treasure as a strong vacuum tube brand successfully since our launch of the tubes in Jan 2009. We have trademarked "Shuguang Treasure" to protect our investment in the brand in North America.

As Shuguang has no means to effectively control distribution out of China, in past few months we have seen Shuguang Treasure tubes are now sold over eBay and various e-commerce websites at various prices.

Should you buy Shuguang Treasure tubes from Grant Fidelity or from these type of eBay or unauthorized e-commerce sellers? Here are a few points for consumers to carefully consider when you choose where to place your order: 

1. Double QC process:

Starting Feb 1st, all Shuguang Treasure tubes sourced by Grant Fidelity carry not only the Treasure trademark by Shuguang (it's printed on the tubes in Chinese calligraphy), but also has Grant Fidelity label on the base to certify our testing procedure. This double trademarks will endorse that the tubes sold by Grant Fidelity have successfully passed both Shuguang factory QC and Grant Fidelity distribution 5-step and 5-spec QC. 

2. Replace DOA with free shipping:

If a tube purchased from Grant Fidelity arrives DOA, we provide replacement within 30 days from shipping date and will pay for the replacement shipping cost to the customer. Our buyer is only responsible for shipping charges to return the DOA tube to Grant Fidelity within North America. On the contrary, eBay sellers will NOT cover replacement shipping fees so if you have a DOA tube, you must pay both-way North America-China shipping fees plus customs brokerage fees to return goods to China - this will typically cost $75-$100 per pair or quad depending on how well packed the tubes are and it is a very lengthy process. Remember, eBay sellers typically have no means to test a tube when it is received from factory so your chance of receiving DOA tube is a lot higher than from Grant Fidelity. 

3. Full insurance and immediate replacement: 

Grant Fidelity will fully insured your purchase and when an item is lost or damaged during shipping, we provide a replacement to you right away while we file insurance claim with the carrier. When you buy on eBay, an eBay seller will offer to ship your item as low value gift by international courier. This could result that, when a parcel is lost or damaged, you won't be able to claim for the full value as the seller has initially declared a false value to the carrier. The eBay buyer will also not be responsible for lost or damaged parcels as eBay purchase insurance is solely buyer's responsibility. You are left with no tubes but still have to deal with the lengthy claim procedure with the carrier. 

4. True 'Cream of the crop" on Grade A 

Grant Fidelity Premium Grade A tube are 'cream of the crop' from Shuguang factory production runs and are verified by extensive testing results. There are very small percentage of Treasure tubes out of the factory that actually quality our Premium Grade A standard so they deserve higher market value and better resale value. Similar to high quality sought-after NOS tubes - they are rare, and they are proven really good. Without Grant Fidelity's stringent quality control, Chinese tubes couldn't have reached today's market status as premier tube manufacturer and compete head-to-head with many best NOS tubes and well established tube brands. Remember, tube quality is controlled not just at the factory, it also must be controlled during distribution. 

5. Real Peace-of-mind warranty:

No matter what an eBay seller says in the listing, Shuguang DOES NOT provide warranty to tubes sold by un-authorized online sellers who source tubes from Chinese dealers but resale out of China. Those domestic dealers could be cut-off supply at any time by Shuguang so your so-called eBay seller warranty could have nowhere to be fulfilled and you have no where to complain as eBay feedback window has closed.  On the other hand, Grant Fidelity is a reputable incorporated North American business - our distributor warranty is fully backed by Shuguang and regulated by North American law. 

The above 5 points are significant advantages of purchasing Shuguang Treasure tubes from Grant Fidelity when you are considering to purchase high end Chinese tubes. China has a long way to catch up on orderly worldwide distribution of their products. In their learning process, we hope you as a consumer won't be caught in the middle as a victim with a lemon product with no recourse whatsoever to the seller. 

Please note that the above quality control and advantages at Grant Fidelity are not applicable to standard Shuguang clear glass tubes. Those tubes have been sold without proper distribution quality control for long time and the market going price cannot justify to implement our procedures at this late stage anymore. 

Grant Fidelity Grade B Shuguang Treasure tubes Price Matching policy: 

To better service North American consumers and make tube audio an affordable investment to most people, Grant Fidelity offer the following price matching policy on Shuguang Treasure tubes:  

a. Grant Fidelity has sole discretion of whether to match price to an active eBay listing, with Shuguang Treasure Premium Grade B tubes only, but not Premium Grade A. 

b. When matching the price, Grant Fidelity will match the same shipping charges and insurance on the purchase, with no return and only replacement on DOA, insurance at buyer's cost plus Grant Fidelity 30 days warranty from the date that payment is received. 

c. When a buyer does need to return a DOA tube to us, the buyer will be responsible for paying both way shipping as if you are returning to the active eBay listing buyer (even if the eBay seller is in Asia).

d. The above price matching is based on Grade B tubes availability.
